The Dean of Montessori Instruction is a leadership role responsible for promoting academic excellence, supporting teacher growth, and fostering community engagement within the Montessori framework. This individual works collaboratively with the Head of School, teachers, staff and families to ensure the school thrives as a vibrant learning community. The Dean leads efforts to align instructional practices with Montessori principles while building strong partnerships with the school community and beyond. The Dean of Montessori Instruction serves as a key bridge between the school and its community, ensuring academic rigor, professional excellence, and meaningful partnerships to create a thriving Montessori environment.
The Montessori Guide is the prepared adult for the prepared environment, responsible for creating a community of reflective practitioners and ensuring fidelity of implementation of Montessori for children.
The Montessori Guide’s primary responsibilities are to create and sustain an outstanding classroom (community) that supports human flourishing for all students.
The responsibility of the Montessori Assistant is to aid the Montessori Guide in all phases of the classroom activities. The role of the Montessori Assistant is to maintain the prepared classroom environment such that children may engage in self-directed learning. The Montessori Guide and the Montessori Assistant work as a team to provide an authentic Montessori experience where children grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Positive Discipline and effective classroom management skills are critical to be successful in this position.
Under the general direction of the Head of School, the Business Manager is responsible for assisting the Head of School in all aspects of the school. In addition, the Business Manager effectively manages a friendly, positive, customer service oriented environment.
OPMI is seeking a Montessori Office Clerk to support daily administrative operations and ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and aligned with Montessori principles, providing support to staff, students, and families while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
